This morning was awesome with the Lord, so I guess this is a Praise Report! Yet it was also an awakening. Perhaps now a Prayer Request.
Not sure which. Praise Report? Prayer Request?
I was writing this morning when a bible story came to me. But for some reason, its' exact place I couldn't recall.
As if by habit, I found myself turning to the internet to do a "quick search" and find exactly where it was.
Before logging on, I stopped and realized, "Recently I've done a few of these. A quick search of the scriptures to save time and/or my chain of thought."
This time I decided to look for it in my bible instead. Perhaps it would take a little longer to find the story, but my bible is marked. I know it was on the top of the page, right side and circled in red ink, highlighted in yellow! HAHA!
As I started skimming through the pages, I would stop at certain markings. Hearing the Lord speak (on different topics), I would then move on; looking for that story. It was an awesome journey. So yes, a Praise Report!
Yet it hit me. To save time and/or my chain of thought, I started using the "bible look-up" websites and type in key words to get specifically what I'm looking for. And there's nothing wrong with that.
But this morning I didn't do that. If I did (and got the exact location), I would have missed out on opening my bible, searching the Scriptures, and the journey it took . . . to get what I was looking for.
I too attest. Jesus does take us on some awesome journeys when we let Him lead.
And it's for that purpose I ask that you would every so often lift me in prayer. I don't ever want the internet to replace my familiarity with God and His Word. Technology makes it easy.
Thank you.
Be blessed, Stay blessed, and be Bold!
