"When a computer incident happens on Apple’s Mac OS X, it’s a headline-making event. When it happens on Windows, it’s just another day."

Let's compare Macs and Linux machines to an airplane. There is no such thing as a perfectly safe airplane, as it could crash, but given the statistics, it probably won't. That's why you fly it. You can have the confidence to say that this plane won't crash and you'll make it today.
Now, compare Microsoft to a medium-sized airport with two major airline crashes a day. So, while the people hope their 2 out of 25 planes taking off won't crash, they are filled with glee when the Mac airport has a fatal crash once every few years (like a normal airplane).
So, while someone gloats about that one crash, yet they prefer to take the airports with the two crashes a day meanwhile their loved one's charred remains are being scraped up with the burnt fuselage.
So folks, let's put things into perspective. Once does not mean they will become like the "two-crashes-a-day airport." Big, big difference.
