Darren and Stacey Gagnon share their inspiring story of adopting five special needs children as they discuss their extensive involvement with foster care and helping kids who've experienced abandonment and trauma. They encourage listeners to consider how they, too, can support children in need of families.

Not everyone can foster or adopt, but everyone can support those who are doing this or those who have needs.

Those trying to foster or adopt have a grueling application process and validation, here in the UK there are social workers who are more concerned with political correctness than whether that family is stable and loving.

Remember to support those who are fostering, these kids have been moved from Piller to post, lives turned upside down and miss there parents. The foster carers have to care for troubled people who are often disruptive.

Can you provid room for a distressed carer to get there breath back and e there for them.

What of the single parent! What support does your church provide?
How does your church support that child or children?

The follow on from this is how robust is your churches child protection policy and practice?
If the pastor child is accuse of abuse what would happen?

Many decades ago, my wife and I started attending a different, fairly large church, and over the next few years we somehow got to know over a dozen single parent women, who started attending church with us. We had our own little group to worship together with.

The ladies knew my wife and I had both been single parents at one time in our past.
One morning several of the ladies asked us if we would start a support group for them to attend, and the next thing we knew we were meeting every Monday night for the next 5 years.

We got to see God do one miracle after another in those ladies lives, by supplying their needs over and over miraculously, as they were true to their Lord, and God was there for them and their children.

It's more than amazing to see God at work to care for those who sometimes can't care for themselves.
Many , many times we were just stunned by how God moved in their lives.

That was probably around 35 years ago, and haven't seen or heard of anything like that again.
It's sad, as those kind of groups are needed now, more than ever.
