I think they did a good job of showing things from both sides. At the end of the day, I think many people just want to re-create Christianity to accomodate their own needs/wants, and there's no way to stop that.

This thread was originally started in the Apologetics and Theology forum but does not fit the criteria for that forum, which is in part:

I read part of the article, about a third and when I ceased laughing, I knew better than to read any further. This entire endeavor is vain, just vanity to the ninth dimension. There is one element, without which, the Bible is noting more than one more out dated archaic work or collection of works, depending on your, personal scientific vent.

So why so funny when the dude was serious? Faith in the Omnipotent God of Creation! God promised to keep His Word, the Bible, pure! Now, there is not one single man that has ever lived on the Earth that can whoop (yep, spelled it right) a single Angel and there is not an angel that can whoop God. There are various English versions of the Holy Scriptures and although they will, often, express an idea in different words, in the end of it the same message is delivered, making them useful to a wide variety of people.

God's Word is good... all else, especially man's vanity, not so much.
