Other books similar to The Shack?

Hi everyone,

I recently read "The Shack" and was very blessed by it. I am interested in reading more books of the same nature...

By same nature I mean, a book that reinforces the same idea of God portrayed in The Shack.

There is a book called "The Papa Prayer" by Larry Crab (I think?) which seems similar. Has anyone read this book?

Any suggestions?

I read the Shack some time ago, and enjoyed it very much. But I am somewhat concerned by other books that might be similar.

Young originally wrote The Shack as a present for his family, and only published it when his wife finally convinced him to do it. He and a couple of friends actually had to create their own publishing company to publish it, since it was "too Jesus" for mainstream publishers and too edgy for Christian publishers. It was never intended to be a best-seller, and Young seemed more surprised than anyone that it was so popular.

So, my worry comes in that other publishers may see a formula that works and try to capitalize on it to make some money. I would be somewhat skeptical of any book that claimed to be similar to The Shack.

But all that being said, if a book is coincidentally similar, it may be just fine.
