Our Father created each of us and loves us. Because he loves us, he sometimes needs to discipline us. The discipline can be very harsh if our sin has progressed far enough.

But if we obey his commands we soon find life is a very beautiful thing.

Some people seem to be looking for a complicated solution to the riddle of what life is all about, but there isn’t anything complicated about it. It doesn’t take sophistication. It takes some effort.
 
Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?


Gods disciplinary measures are for the correction of improvement within ourselves so we will always be pleasing to our Father in heaven. It's like the seven Churches in Rev. God loved each one, but had correction for each of them so they would remain in His perfect will.
