Our Flesh Records Our Sin – Jesus Christ Records Our Forgiveness

Many times when Christians reach out to spread the gospel they are met with the usual question as to why, if God is so loving, does he allow sickness? One could bring up the story of Adam and Eve to explain that sickness is evidence of man's original sin, where disobedience carried the penalty of death, but a deeper explanation is warranted.

When God created man he gave him dominion over his own flesh and over the world that surrounded him. When man sinned in the Garden of Eden not only did he doom his own flesh to death, but he also doomed everything under his domain. Nothing in this world will survive in perpetuity because of man's sin.

For man to be forgiven for his disobedience he must now show a new resolve to be obedient towards God. Mankind attempts to demonstrate this new resolve to be obedient by using devices under his dominion that are already marked for destruction.

Mankind will strive to show his obedience through a devotion to rabbinical law, commandments, ritualistic religious behavior, etc., but the underlying reality of this behavior is that it relies upon an obedience that is derived from the actions of the flesh which is already marked for destruction. So for any forgiveness to be effectuated it must have an everlasting record to establish a permanence of man's renewed obedience. Nothing in this world has any of this everlasting permanence to record our new found obedience towards God, for all will be lost because of man's sin in the Garden of Eden.

An obedience to anything in this world is fraught with error since any record of that obedience will be lost when it MUST be destroyed to carry out the punishment for man's disobedience due to original sin. Enter Jesus Christ, God's son who is God become man. Jesus Christ has the everlasting permanence, as God becoming a sinless man, to establish a record of obedience. Jesus Christ is a permanent record of ONE man's sinless obedience towards God.

Even though Jesus Christ has a permanence due to his deity he chose to become flesh, as a sinless man. Mankind, as we already know, is marked for destruction due to original sin. When Jesus Christ became sin on the cross seemingly all permanent record of his sinless life was lost for God cannot look upon sin with any regard. But consider that Jesus Christ is the word made flesh. When Jesus Christ was made sin for our sake on the cross, and died, his resurrection that followed not only brought his body out of this sinful world but also brought out all record of his sinless life on this earth.

When Jesus Christ was resurrected, and since Christ is the word of God made flesh, it established a permanent record of his obedience on this earth to God the Father. Jesus Christ's resurrection was more than just a bodily resurrection for it also resurrected his word out of this impermanent world and is now an everlasting permanent record of his sinless obedient life to God the father.

Consider that the bible is God's word written on the impermanence of paper, and other devices of this world, that are destine for extinction due to man's original sin. When Jesus Christ became flesh it placed all of God's words into the being of Christ so that they would be resurrected out of this condemned world in the person of Jesus Christ and into the permanence of eternity in heaven.

Only when Jesus Christ was resurrected as blameless did a permanent record of ONE man's faithfulness and obedience to God become reestablish in heaven that God could look upon with regard. All those who now believe in Jesus Christ are able share in this permanent record of obedience and gain the forgiveness of their sins. For Jesus Christ and his believers become one in body and blood through the Holy Spirit (hint: Get Baptized!).

The permanent record of Jesus Christ's obedience to God the Father is now his resurrected body in heaven. It is offered to us as a way to record our own new found faithfulness and obedience when we trust and believe in Jesus Christ's who ascended into heaven in perpetuity. There is no other means to establish a permanent record of our new found obedience leading to forgiveness unless one believes in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the everlasting God that became man to establish an everlasting record of obedience to God the Father in heaven to secure our forgiveness.

When man tries to use any ritual, or any device of this world, to show a renewed obedience to God any record of this obedience will be lost when God MUST carry out the penalty of man's original sin. Only through a belief in Jesus Christ can a permanent record ever be established of our renewed obedience to God leading to the forgiveness of our sins and life eternal in heaven with God.

(It should be noted that childbirth represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Mankind perpetuates his existence here on earth through childbirth whereas the resurrection of Jesus Christ perpetuates mankind's existence in heaven for all those who believe in him!)

God Bless
note:

Christians, and the Jews, today are falling in the same trap as Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden. Today God's faithful are deciding that they will become God in their own minds and permit the pleasures of sin to represent God's eternal goodness by allowing the sins of others to go unhindered and unopposed. Sins of the flesh like abortion, homosexuality, sexual exultation and promiscuity command a God like reverence in the minds of wayward Christians and Jews that is clearly an act of disobedience and defiance. Eve was tempted by the serpent to become like God through an act of disobedience.

When God's faithful decide to become God on earth, and permit the sinfulness of others, they are replicating the same lies of the serpent that were spoken in the Garden of Eden. By temping a person to believe that the pleasures of man's sinfulness are equivalent to the rigors of God's righteousness God's faithful are declaring that sin laced with honorable behavior is not sin at all. Remember that Satan disguised his sin as a harmless act of inquisitiveness that had harsh, terrible, consequences.

To return to the opening statement, sickness then is a sign from God that our flesh is doomed for destruction. Anything achieved with our flesh is also doomed for destruction which will erase any and all record of our faithful obedience towards God. Forgiveness of sin must be predicated on a permanent record of our newly reestablished obedience to God that man corrupted in the Garden of Eden. That permanent record is now only achievable by a belief in Jesus Christ himself.

Epilog

Please consider that because Jesus Christ is God's word made flesh, and that Jesus Christ was resurrected both in body and spirit, Jesus Christ is now the only permanent record of any obedience to God the Father. When we accept Jesus Christ as our savior we become one with Christ in spirit and inherit his obedience to God the Father. The resurrected physical body of Jesus Christ in heaven is now the ONLY evidence of any human obedience to God. The unsaved will one day appear before God with absolutely no evidence of their obedience to God, his word, or his laws. All good works, good intentions, good deeds done in the flesh will be lost forever. Only a belief in Jesus Christ can save the unbeliever from the lack of evidence that will ultimately doom many to an existence apart from God in hell.

Accept the reality of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection and add your name to the permanent record in the Lamb's Book Of Life – The Tree of Life.
Amen
