Some people read the Bible, cover to cover, and then seem to think they have come to the end of a journey that leads to heaven. Other people read the Bible, cover to cover, and then seem to think they are only beginning a journey that leads to heaven. Which view would be closer to the truth?

.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not about reading the entire Bible from cover to cover. Many atheists, Muslims and people of other faiths have also read the entire Bible from cover to cover, but are still doomed for eternal hell if they don't apply and practice what they've learned with regards to Salvation, serving God and serving people. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

After I was saved I was told to read John. So I started with John and fleshed things out from there.
I have read the bible cover to cover since then a couple times though.

That's just what I did...started with John and then read through from cover to cover a few time, although I admit to getting side-tracked every time. :yes
