There wasn't an option for:

"I like boiled eggs and will take any excuse to make and then eat them."

Because of this obvious lack of an answer I felt it only right of me to say that this is my view on Easter. Although it should be noted that I do not actually enjoy the process of boiling, cooling, and then peeling the eggs. The act of eating them is truly my only enjoyment in the above answer, though I felt such a narrow answer would clearly rule out those few amazing people who merely like to boil, cool, and peel eggs and so I left it in so that we may unite under our common love of hard boiled eggs.

Too lazy to peel them, frankly. Heck I'm too lazy to cook them! :toofunny

At least you know how. I guess you have heard of people who don't know how to boil water :lol

I like deviled eggs better. I probably shouldn't though because of what they are called. Deviled. :o We could change the name to heavenly eggs because they taste heavenly.

Matter of fact, I think that Heaven's only food may be the deviled egg. I know of no other egg based food that tastes even half as good! Something about boiled eggs plus mayo makes it awesome!

There is but one word properly used regarding eggdom

John 4:24 KJV, "God is spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

There is no Godly truth in Easter. Anyone who tries to worship God within the format of Easter's historic context and cultural heritage are sinning against God.

Believers who argue about their right, privilege, or choice to worship God within the occasion of Easter are in spiritual darkness.

my favorite part of the worlds view of Ester are Cadbury Bunny Tryouts,

Do you know what Jesus said about "lukewarm" Believers?

"Ptooey!" (He spits them out of His mouth.)

Maybe you were unclear on the whole matter, but Jesus rose on Easter, as near about as we can figure. He surely died on Good Friday and we know this because it was Passover at the time of his death. And well, that means the Sunday after he rose, which would be Easter. Now if you want to celebrate his rising on with Passover every year, go for it, but there is an issue with floating calendars and they no longer exist in our world (with the exception of the Jewish one).

And not to be rude, but is it at all possible to show less qualities of a broken record player? I've literally seen you say that same thing at least a dozen times in the last 24 hours. Now scripture quotin is all fine and dandy, but you lose your creditability when all you do is quote the same thing ad nauseum without any actually backing in any way shape or form. A love for "cadbury" eggs ain't a sin honey, although one could stretch your veiled insults as sinful, so I'd watch it, yeah?

Its the little Caburys, not the creme filled for me...but all are but a fond remembrance.

Matthew 12:40

New King James Version (NKJV)

40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Was Jesus confused? Friday afternoon to Sunday morning is not 3 days and 3 nights no matter how you count.
Religious Jews have always known what is shown in the link below and laugh at the myths Christians believe. Further Messianic Jews frequently use this perversion of truth and the paganism associated with the practice of Easter to bring their church members under the law. Christians are to provoke Jews to jealously not make them laugh.
WHEN WAS CHRIST JESUS RESURRECTED? - NOT ON EASTER SUNDAY! <img style="padding:0px;border:medium none;text-decoration:none;cursor:pointer;width:15px;height:15px;" id="yiv292217658sbresult_1" class="yiv292217658l yiv292217658sb-l">

....and since Christ Jesus was Resurrected at SUNDOWN on what the gentiles still call Saturday evening, at the very beginning of what HEBREWS call Sunday. ...

My point still stands... It was Passover. Unless you know the exact date I don't see how Sunday is gonna be any different than any other random day of the week. It's the right time of year, and that's better than you can say about Christmas!

The Bible doesn't actually prescribe a holiday for such a thing, it merely says to remember and praise. So I see this as going above and beyond, sorta. And at the very least it gets people into church and everytime someone gets into church that is one more chance for them to become saved.

Get rid of easter you get less people into church which means fewer are saved. Who cares if there are some bunnies if in the end its about Christ?

Come for the bunnies, stay for the Savior? :yes

There was already a thread on the subject of what day Jesus rose. I still hold with Sunday. It's the day that makes the most sense of the full light of the Scriptures and it also fits in with how the Jews reckoned time back then.

Frankly, and I'm just stating my general opinion, not directing this at anyone specific... I think most anti-Sunday resurrection folks are simply trying to be "different" and to set themselves up as "more holy" than the rest of the Body who celebrate Easter. This comes from me reading a lot of blogs and websites on the subject and almost without fail, it eventually creeps in...an attitude that those who reject Sunday as the day of resurrection or Good Friday as the day of crucifixion are worshiping "in truth" and the rest of us poor unenlightened schmucks are dabbling in paganism.

Again, I'm not directing this thought at any around here.

*sniff* No chocolate for me!

Jelly beans though...who can resist jelly beans!!!

Here is Jesus' position on dubious converts and church members made from unscriptural methods of evangelism. The Chucrh is a teaching center to prepare and equip believers to go out and do Mark 16:17-18 and Matthew 10:7-8. It is not the place for evangelism usually.
John 6:60-71

New King James Version (NKJV)

Many Disciples Turn Away

60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?â€
61 When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.†For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.â€
66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?â€
68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.â€[a]
70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?†71 He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

Notice Jesus did not beg them, in fact told them they could not stay anyway! There was no choir of angels singing "Just As I am" or "Almost Persuaded"

Jesus just lost nearly His whole "church". Jesus then challenged the 12 to see if they were leaving, and did not praise them in the least for not going, and callied one a devil! "With every eye bowed and every head closed slip up your hand" does not produce disciples but dubious convert/church members which Jesus has no interest in doing.
