So far so good. Thinking that the dieing Christ felt good is not what is recorded! True Agape Love is a moral Law Abiding [ETERNAL] PRINCIPLE, not emotion or based on feelings or excitement as perhaps most think?

You're cutting it to hard and fast. It's not an either/or proposition.

"For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Heb. 12:2 NIV)

We have both the pains of suffering (when that happens) and the promise of joy at work in us making life good.

"2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance." (James 1:2 NIV)
