Parting Thoughts or....Shots?

After being on this forum for over 3 years I have some observations.
Generally speaking -

1. It is very apparent that many of you do not have a biblical understanding of justification.

2. It is very apparent that many of you have no final authority – every man chooses that which best suits is theology.

3. It is very apparent that many of you do not understand the difference between doctrine and practical application.

4. It is very apparent that few here see the difference between ones’ standing before God in Christ and one’s state.

5. It is very apparent that there is a growing dislike for the apostle to the Gentiles, Paul.

6. It is very apparent that many of you here refer to the Greek/Hebrew with little understanding of the Greek/Hebrew.

7. It is very apparent that many of you cannot carry on a decent conversation without mocking points made. Yes, I’m guilty also so don’t go blow a gasket here.

8. It is very apparent that many of you can not distinguish between law and grace.

9. It is very apparent that many (or most) of you would rather live by the Gospels than body of Christ truth.

10. It is very apparent that many of you don’t know whether you or a Jew or a Gentile.

11. It is very apparent that many of you may not even attend a local church faithfully each week.

12. It is very apparent that many of you have never studied the great missionaries, preachers, writers, or evangelists of the past 400 years.

13. It is very possible that many of you may have never led a soul to Christ and don’t know how.

14. And finally - It is very apparent that many of you are worn out with me – I understand. I’m worn out with me.

You say, “There you go judging again us!â€Â

Yep – I’ve got a book I can believe and trust without wavering and many here do not (see #2).

With that being said I think I will take a break – Don’t get too excited – I’ll be back – Just want to get some things done and clean my brain out a bit.

God bless 8-)

Av, there is simply an increase in false teachers as Jesus said there would be the closer we get to end times. "The faith of most will grow cold." This has nothing to do with you.

I've been away from this forum for awhile and since I've been back I've noticed a huge increase in posts blasting Paul, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, God, the bible, and just plain made-up gospels. The new NIV is another indication of lack of respect for the bible. For the first time in history, it is "gender neutral". It appears that the farther away we get from the biblical times, the more people want to make up history.

So please take heart, you cannot convince false teachers of anything. If they were filled with the Holy Spirit to begin with, they would not disagree with the bible in the first place. As we grow closer to end times, true believers will be fewer and fewer until, as Jesus says, "You will be hated by all nations because of me." So our faith needs to be firmer than ever. God bless you, Av. :)

AV....I am a veteran of many forums...I've quit many times and rejoined many times.....I think we will see you back.....

I personally enjoy the debate with you....and on my part do so without malice...Thanks for helping my sharpen my arguments....as I'm sure I've helped you sharpen yours....what good is a forum if everyone agree's with everything everybody says....not much I'll warrant.

One thing I have noticed in every forum I've ever been involved in....although I have been convinced in debate...to morph my theology....I've rarely seen it done where anyone can concince anyone of anything....

You usually find an agreement, or a disagreement....Very rarely to you seeo..."you know, you brougt up an interesting point"....

Good Luck to you and hope to see you back.....you can't let Heidi and J the B do it alone.... :)

I have always believed a debate was to give your view and listen to everyone else's views, not to try to make every one believe in every thing you do. It seems that is what a lot of people do. (I have done so myself on occasion)
I have seen several debates turn into shooting matches! After my first debate here, and its consequences (I am not proud of the things I said) I decided just to give my opinion and move on.
While I am not saying it is wrong to want to prove your point, I think it is pointless to keep trying after others have heard it and have rejected it. By that time it is apparent that they have a different idea than yours.
I think it is a healthy to debate, to read other people's views of things, but when it escalates into a disagreement or argument, then you start to lose people.
There, I said my peace.
God Bless Us Everyone (Tiny Tim)

i agree with EVERY one of your points. this is the first time, and probably the last... but still. I definately agree. Of course, you know where Im coming from and we are def. coming from different directions. And I just took a two week break cause of this place. it was needed. gotta recharge the batteries n all. good luck.

Theres liberty in finally knowing i'm not going to change anybodies mind and don't have to either, only God can do that (if it happens at all)
I choose my battles carefully these days.

AV,

I would like to give you a suggestion as an older disciple of His. I hope you read the NT thoroughly with everyone else's theology set aside.

His servant, hitomi
