There are creationists who accept the basic geologic column as proposed by secularists and accept their order of the fossil record. These have great implications on how one interprets the fossil record and the flood/post-flood boundary, which in turn has great implications on how one understands the origin of whales and other creatures.

It's not a good time to be a creationist. As the evidence accumulates, some of them are trying to find a way to reconcile YE theology with reality. And AIG has encountered some of the problems. In the long run, things will work out fine. God is truth, after all.
