I guess you could say that, but then you could also say the Bugs Bunny cartoons are too violent. We live in a PC, watered down society who needs to get over itself.

The racism issue might be there but I think alot of the older cartoons were really violent.A couple of years ago I was watching a couple of those old Tom and Jerry cartoons.They were really bad and of course I did not realize this as a child when I was watching them.Mr.Fred Rogers went before a television committee before he died and told them his concerns of the cartoons and the violence and how bad they are for children.

The article mentions that in some Tom & Jerry cartoons, there is a black maid. Is it more degrading for blacks to have a black maid than it is for whites to have a white maid? Melissa and Joey has a white male maid. I don't hear anyone complaining about that being degrading for whites or men. Face it. It was common for maids to be black back then, because that's the kind of work they were able to get. It's not racism, imo, but a reflection of the society of the time. Do we really want to wipe out all references to a time in our history that wasn't exactly like we want to have things today?

ever seen the modern pic of thanksgiving with the pilgrims? I have, it has kids that wouldn't be there because there were no Aryans there(Indians as in from the country of India)
