Not if they always have to build roads .I can't name too many times the turnpike or 95 near Miami or Jacksonvillr doesn't have road constructionjasonc well with higher population funding wouldn't be an issue. Even if traffic during the day was an issue, I know my city started doing the roads here at night because they were so bad semi trucks were causing the roads to sink in with the wheels. I barely made it across on that because I was so close on bottoming out. That section of the road finally got resurfaced, they had to dig it up though and repack it, it was so bad.
That's where they need to either budget or hire more construction crews depending on the problem. They got construction everywhere here but where they need it the most, fixing the highway here. Takes a week or two at the most vs building new roads. Not if they always have to build roads .I can't name too many times the turnpike or 95 near Miami or Jacksonvillr doesn't have road construction

Cities can’t afford their roads anymore
Sure, it was a lousy winter that was perfect for potholes. But this year's potholes are also last year's potholes which were fixed with Band Aids. Some cities have worse potholes than others because some cities have no choice but to let roads go to pot.www.mprnews.org
Two weeks?
Seriously I would like see that done with utilities moved ,property bought ,roads open and bridges built .
My county and city do that but when you have three or more community of that that will be a problem .Problem is they need to prioritize what roads to do. If one road is getting bad you got to resurface them. Took a week for my neighborhood roads to get fixed. If you can't resurface them, at least grind them flat which they could do on nights before the winter so snowplows are not making new potholes every year. Patches only work for so long due to extreme temperatures on the roads, they buckle creating a potential pothole problem.
They are behind .they try but they can't keep up .jasonc do they actually maintain those roads or are they neglected? I seen them patch potholes and grind some areas of the road on the highway and in some cases they did resurface a section of the road but it was only because they were working on something else that causes them to shift the lanes.
Last year they redid a lot of roads in my city that were bad. Everywhere that I don't normally drive on basically. They had a stretch of road that basically was a problem anytime you braked on it because it was just that bumpy that got fixed though. The highway here though really needs fixing badly.
Kinda can't .are you gonna tell them given high home prices and rent here.i can sell my house buy acreage in ga and have money left over ,that they can't build ?jasonc sounds like they need to spend more time on fixing the existing roads instead of building them. Just my take here. They're building new highway bridges here that takes years to accomplish while the existing highway keep getting worse.
County locally unless it's a right of way or a gated or deeded community doesn't build roads a new.jasonc well it takes more time to build roads vs maintaining them. Every spring they got to do an evaluation and knock out the worst roads. It can be done but when you're spending too much time building new ones and don't have enough resources to fix your bad roads they're just going to get worse. It's not going to be the end of the world if your new roads are delayed by a month or two.
