Pharoah's Heart

Sorry i misunderstood JJ easy to do around here.....

IMO .. The whole story of the exodus was God's plan from the beginning. I see it sorta like God used the sinful nature of man to achieve Gods plan...

Sometime we question as if looking for the end of a circle.

Yes - but if satan is the cause of evil, then why was it God who hardened Pharaoh's heart and not satan?

As the Holy Spirit [[IS BEING EVEN TODAY WITH/DRAWN from STRIVING UPON THE EARTH'S LOST]] their 'hearts' (MINDS!) become hardened. Look around planet earth today as well as when in the OT the Holy Spirit was TAKEN AWAY by mankinds own free choice to do evil. (see Matt. 12:31-32 + Psalms 19:13)

The Gen. 6:3 floodones for sure! And King Saul who was given the Holy Ghost & later by free choice, had HIM LEAVE the King. And the outcome was??? (1 Sam. 28:3 on.. take special note of verse 6 & ibide 19)

And on & on we see one HARDENING THEIR OWN HEART! Opposite to Rom. 8:14 own [FREE 'FATAL' DECISIONS]!

''by mankinds own free choice to do evil.''

Well then,if that is so then there is no supernatural fallen angel called satan who causes mankind to do evil.

The probable reality -

"We have all read in Exodus how God hardenned the heart of Pharoah and how subsequently Pharoah's hard heart led to plagues and death. A question that doesn't get asked enough in my opinion is this:

If God could harden Pharoah's heart, couldn't God have just as easily softened Pharoah's heart?"

The likelyhood is the God DID "Soften Pharaoh's heart" by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and allowed it to harden by removing His Spirit/manifest presence from Pharaoh, and letting him "Return to his normal state".

God doesn't FORCE anybody to do anything.

A question to ask is this:

If satan is the cause for sin,and is a trouble for Christians why was it God who hardened Pharaoh's heart and not satan?
Because God was hardening Pharoah's heart for an ultimately good purpose (we can talk about what that purpose might be if you like). Satan, obviously, would not harden a heart in order to achieve a greater good.

...If I recall Pharoah died. - How was that for a good purpose?

Exodus 14:23-28:23And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. 24And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,
25And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
26And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.
27And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
28And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

As I have read this thread some have mentioned Romans 9 in passing but no one had completely quoted the most relevant statements.

In essence the answer to your question is that God does what He wants to do and does not have to explain himself to us.

Romans 9
14 Are we saying, then, that God was unfair? Of course not! 15 For God said to Moses,

“I will show mercy to anyone I choose,
and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.â€
16 So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.
17 For the Scriptures say that God told Pharaoh, “I have appointed you for the very purpose of displaying my power in you and to spread my fame throughout the earth.†18 So you see, God chooses to show mercy to some, and he chooses to harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen.
19 Well then, you might say, “Why does God blame people for not responding? Haven’t they simply done what he makes them do?†20 No, don’t say that. Who are you, a mere human being, to argue with God? Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it, “Why have you made me like this?†21 When a potter makes jars out of clay, doesn’t he have a right to use the same lump of clay to make one jar for decoration and another to throw garbage into? 22 In the same way, even though God has the right to show his anger and his power, he is very patient with those on whom his anger falls, who are destined for destruction. 23 He does this to make the riches of his glory shine even brighter on those to whom he shows mercy, who were prepared in advance for glory. 24 And we are among those whom he selected, both from the Jews and from the Gentiles.

Blessings,
Dee
