Hey! I've played piano for almost ten years. My teacher is strictly classical. So, I know how to play Mozart Beethoven, and all those guys. I've been the pianist/organist (using a digital piano) for a church for about two years now. The church is going through a lot changes - I think it's becoming more Christ-centered and less tradition-centered - but, anyway, they've got a band (drum set and all!) coming once a month now and I'm their keyboardist!!!
Here's the problem, they don't use sheetmusic!! I need my notes!! or 'dots and flags' as the other band members call them. I have enough theory to know what the chords are, but I don't know what to do beyond playing the block chords and arpeggiating a bit. And they don't even give me the melody line! So, here's my question, or two questions. 1) Do you know of a website that I could find the leadsheets (is that what they're called?) for contemporary worship music and 2) anybody know of a book for pianists turned keyboardists? I've found a few books on-line on how to play keyboard, but I'd want to look at the books before buying them, to see how much I don't already know.
