LOL! I wish I could go outside to fly, I would need to cycle my Batteries a few times to get them into shape but I can't get out any more. But I crewed a Huey Slick before 'Nam and learned to fly from my pilots and never got over the excitement. No waay!!you're the second person I meet here who does model flying!! I have 1 foammie parkflier and 3 helis. All electric as well.
Anyways, everybody, don't mind us, just carry on with conversation. Ok, I'm back to work.

My big bird is a Foamy UFO, 16 inches and is in two parts and in need of someone to install one of my four spare motors. The know how is here still but my motor skills are hiding inside my MS leaving the ship in pieces. I have a Bi-plane trainer, my design using two 12 percent P51 wings with ailerons and an english WW II BiPlane that needs the upper wing panels joined and the radios motor and servos installed, all sitting in a drawer. I miss flying a lot.Awesome! I see it's a flybar model from horizon? Pretty cool! I was going to fit a 600 size heli I had into a scale fuselage, but when I smashed her up, I changed my mind. That thing was beyond repair. Salvaged electronics from it and built 700 now. Flying pod and boom.
Haven't been out to the field lately because got some other stuff on my mind, so she's hanging on the wall for now..
What specifically LOLWow, this is great!![]()
LOL! I never found one of the fairer sex that flew. I've noted ,however that the lass' are flying in the Ari force and the Army these days, maybe the hobby will catch on with them. My dad was in the Air Force and I was in Army Aviation and crewed a Huey so flying was a natural for me. I began with a Nobler and a Ring Master, control line stunt and a few wings. But as you pointed out, tinkering is required.I always fly alone where I'm located, so it was sort of feeling like a dying hobby. I guess not, cos just around here, we have like 5 model aircraft guys. Now all we need is a flyer girl..:yes

Now that is a love affair!Hah, Taylor, good post. Hey, btw, my fairer sex(if it works put), has interest in electronics. She actually has college degree in electronics from Russia where she came from. I guess that's pretty close to what I'm doing with my Helis. Lots of wiring required. She's gonna love it when she sees it.
Picture this. Honey, I'm home, I'm hungry. "Ok ill be right there, sweetie, I'm fixing up the heli servos from the last week you did piledrive with, remember?"![]()
I would love to fly that rascal! Hang that baby on it's prop out of my hand and transition into a climbing take off. We had the F4Us in Vietnam for Close Combat Support and the only thing better was the A1 and that was only because the A1 carried more assorted munitions and could deliver a bit more slowly. The Gull Wings are definitely sexy, plus!I would like to get a nitro F4U Corsair
Yep, but I did not need a radio to control my baby with when my big tool box was carried on board but jungle repair can e hectic! Some idiot always wants to shoot you off the maintenance deck... go figure!PS- rebuilds are fun when you can use your automotive tools and wrenches...that's when you know the heli is big enough. And most of the stuff gets destroyed anyways, so you just replace bits and pieces. Little birds...oi-yoi-yoi
