I'm a convert from Islam, and in that religion, you're not allowed to play musical instruments: I'm not sure why this is but you're generally frowned upon if you do. So my question basically is am I allowed to play musical instruments?
 
Of course you can play musical instruments, they are one of the tools we use to worship God.
