Hi.

I would like to ask prayers for my walk and relationship with God. In general I have been longing to experience and feel His love, His joy, his peace. I want to know how it feels like. I have experienced supernatural peace, but I wish to also experience supernatural love and joy which would be constantly available and not only when I visit my Christian friends because I cant stay there forever - sooner or later I'd go back to my home, where I feel kinda empty and alone again. Therefore I want this fulfillment to come from Jesus. I have prayed about it but not had great success yet. Today it's even worse - for some reason today reading the Bible no longer gives me excitement and listening worship music didn't fill me with happiness or energy or thankfulness as usual. This makes me a little bit worried.

Dear Brother LPTSTR, it is your concern that is encouraging. It will be the dry times such as Elias (Elijah) telling God he was the last one that brought the most fruit.
Rom 11:3 . . . I am left alone . .
Rom 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

That same Elijah looked for God into the things of life, but they didn't appear.
1Ki 19:10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
1Ki 19:11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
1Ki 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
You are that point in your walk that requires faith to know God will never leave nor forsake you. That small voice has you searching. As you continue, God's word will strengthen and refresh you as you go in the way.

The dearest preacher I ever knew said that he gave up preaching over and over again, and yet at 94 years of age he continued preaching 4 different messages a week. Something akin to the hymn: Where could I go but to the Lord?

Dear loved one of God, are you assured of your eternal salvation? Whether or not you are God keeps you; not the other way around. I wrote the following pamphlet I hope will encourage you in the suffering you're experiencing, and even the enduring or suffering brings great reward. Rom 8:17.

Dear Father, bless this young man to know the depth of Your love that gave Jesus' life for him. Bring peace and glory of Your word to him, and prepare him to walk in all your ways that produce the hope and safety he can know and trust in You. Thank You Father for him being among us, have Your way in his life, and I thank You for this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

Don't fret when your quest for "joy" disappears. This is meant to happen.

Go, and learn, what this means. It may speed things up for you, in your walk.

Romans 9:

2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

and this:

Romans 8:
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

When we are first saved, we will have a little time of joy. But, there are bigger fish to fry, on the other side of things.

God Himself tells us how "His Strength" is made perfect.

"In weakness." 2 Cor. 12:7-9

No man can make himself weak. But, if you follow The Living Word, you will be made weak.

And, it will not be much fun, for the flesh.

If our quest is just to feel good and have all joy and all success and all positive at all times, then perhaps Tony Robbins is a better alternative to follow.

As a believer however, you would probably know from the start, that path is a lie.
