My room will actually be a Star System. Arcturus (c.f. Job 9:9) although some translate that as the Bear which is Ursa Major (Big Dipper). It's only a little more massive than the sun, but 25 times larger and 170 times brighter due to it being in it's latter age. It's a later version of our sun (the sun is a yellow dwarf star) and is an Orange Giant. Seriously, I fell in love with the star when I first started learning astronomy as a youth. It has a noticeable orange tint to it and is the 4th brightest in the heavens after Sirius, Canopus and Alpha Centauri. You see it in the east early in the evening at spring time, and the handle of the Big Dipper points right to it. You can't miss it. While I believe we will be resurrected and rule and reign here on the earth, we will have access to the heavenlies as well. As sons of God we can even co-create and put the icing on the cake so-to-speak. What the Father (by the Word) has started we can even finish.

I like the idea of designing ones own room in heaven

Be even better if we can choose the view, I'd like a patio with an infinite pool looking out over mountains.

But given that the middle eastern culture is people oriented and guests would be spending timw with their host, only using their room for sleeping in, I suspect our rooms won't be what we expect.
