poem I wrote a few months ago

Winters fade

Once upon a winters fade,
what laid to rest once more made,
my truest feelings I could not procliam,
that bore me on that winters day

Not a tear was shed,
nor broken door remain,
that could stop this heart,
from walking away

Not a word was uttered,
that could speak of shame,
the rest was silent ,
upon that winters fade

This is lovely.

FYI, some more lines about winter:

See, amid the winter's snow,
Born for us on Earth below,
See, the tender Lamb appears,
Promised from eternal years.
Chorus:
Hail, thou ever blessed morn,
Hail redemption's happy dawn,
Sing through all Jerusalem,
Christ is born in Bethlehem

thank you edward and farouk I wrote it after I decided to forgive and let go of the painful past with my dad because I had God and I knew I had everything.

Hi hallowbonnie: Keep up the poetry writing, and a good way to do it is to read a lot of Scripture and Christian hymns, as well...

Good comment about forgiveness also.

Blessings.
