I go to Liberty Online. Since I'm low income and over 24, I get grants. Its another blessing...in addition to tuition, course materials tend to be very expensive. Books, software, access to additional materials online, so on and so forth. The grant money is most helpful and most appreciated. I don't want to beg $$$ off my parents for books and such.

Anyway, I was checking the financial aid situation for this semester recently, and it said I was "7 day transfer monitoring hold." I didn't know what was going on. I'm nervous by nature, and the worst case scenarios played out in my mind. What if I don't get any more grants, what if I filled out the FAFSA wrong, what if I have to withdraw for financial reasons, so on and so forth. I did an online chat with somebody in financial aid, and they just told me that they do this to transfer students. I guess fraud may be an issue? I dunno.

So, yesterday, I checked my bank account. Liberty not only sent in a refund, they sent in nearly $300 above the projected refund I'd seen earlier online. I think that may be money left over from a book voucher. The hold should have lasted through Wednesday of this coming week.

God is good! This (brief) experience made me value my education even more. I realize now, more so than before, that college is a big deal. I'm doing well, which is another blessing, and I may be able to finish the degree by Summer next year. :-)

Thanks y'all! I'm blessed, that's for sure. Its crazy...when I started undergrad at 17, I didn't take it seriously, didn't appreciate it, etc. etc. Now, I'm doing well and I really, truly appreciate the opportunity God either seen fit to bless me with. The nervousness is something I need to pray about. I mean, its one thing to be anxiety-ridden when you're in and of the world, but I'm Born Again, and The Bible says "have no worry for the morrow," so...I need to stand on that. :-)

That's wonderful my brother.... you are very blessed. And no matter what comes your way, you have not given up! Keep going and we are all proud of you.
 
Brother, you are not alone in the testing of your faith with the "Woulda Coulda Shoulda" fears presented by our flesh. In spite of all that, God knows our weakness and loves us, continues to ensure, build our faith, and lead us in His paths; we are His workmanship. :)
 
I'm learning to see that God (really) is love, just like He says. I think...well, my first real intro to Born Again Christianity was Teen Challenge, and they were big into Fire and Brimstone preaching. Effective, possibly necessary given the audience, but...

...now that I'm 2 years into actually being a Born Again Christian, I think I'd be well-served to forget TC as best I can and build a relationship with the creator based on love and reverence, not fear of Hell.
 
You know, AirDancer...I hadn't thought of that! I have a lot of work to do in how I perceive God. I still sometimes expect thunder bolts, lol.

Our Lord is very loving and caring, but can also be firm when it is necessary for our guidance and instruction.

Still, it doesn't hurt to be on the alert for those thunder bolts, my friend......

Praise God my friend! Thank you for sharing your praise report! It's a testimony of God's love and Grace for you. Grace is treating you as if sin never happened, so you might want to forget about the thunder bolts, scare tactics and fear are the devils signature, not God's.
Congratulations though! :sohappy God's favor is going before you, because you are being obedient to what He wants for your life, His plan to cause you to grow spiritually, and it will lead to financially, and to your parents salvation.
