[__ Prayer __] Pray for my friend who is part of the Jehovah's Witness

My friend is part of Jehovah's Witness, and I love him like a brother. Please pray that he will convert to Christianity, this is a task I can not accomplish on my own.

He is 17 years old and I'm 15. And I don't know how to convince him since he was raised in this religion.

Dear Father, thank you for bringing this dear sister in Christ to be a witness to someone she sees in danger of being robbed of the truth forever. Give her the patience, love, and wisdom to be the good Samaritan to one found by the wayside, and yet keep her from the poison surely being cast at her through twisting of the scriptures. Give her power and might to withstand any assault assembled against her, and the knowledge to discern it. Thank You Father in Jesus' name for Your salvation given us for all situations, and make the way open to her to tell that young man the truth as she has made this burden known unto us. Amen.

there's a wonderfully revealing true story published called "will the real heretics please stand up" by bercot that might be helpful.
or his autobiography (on free cd i think, although it was years ago i got it).
like many others who 'get saved' (for real), he thought his family and church all were already saved too - he was just about 7 or 8 years old at the time, and had no 'reason' to think they weren't saved.

about 9 years later, after he was saved for real, he discovered (probably a little at a time, but maybe quicker, i don't remember if it is recorded) that his family and his church fellows were not saved,
and about the same time they likewise discovered that he was saved for real,

so they kicked him out. (yes, both his family and his church kicked him out; this happens a lot more than people realize)

May God Almighty adorn you with the Armour of Light that you may walk in the gospel of peace, to speak the truth with righteousness and and stand against the principalities of the Jehovahs Witness. Put on your helmet of salvation to block out their deceptiveness and discern them.
May your faith in the true God shield you from the fiery darts of those who oppose you. May your sword of the true Word cut through their doctrines like a hot knife through butter. And finally the most missed piece of armour that many overlook,... is Prayer. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you gently but boldly and open your brothers heart.

Good post brother. Prayer is indeed the most overlooked piece of the armor of God. We have a direct line on speed dial to the throne room of God and don't use it enough.

It is God who gives the increase. The best thing you can do for your JW friend is to lift him up in prayer to God. Be a good example to him also.
