Bible Study Prayer - Even Jesus's answer was NO!!!

Many people complain that their prayers don't get answered and this is why they don't put faith in the Lord God. Maybe they had a death in the family, or someone became fatally ill. Maybe someone is losing thier spouce or job. Whatever the situation people don't trust God because they feel He does not answer prayers.
Little to their understanding that maybe their prayer was answered and it was not the answer they wanted it was "NO" or may be "NOT RIGHT NOW". God's understanding is far greater then ours, His ways are not our ways. At times like this we must look to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Who was about to be arrested and handed over to the Scribes and Pharisees and to be taken to die on the cross. He prayed and His prayer was turned down. We all know the prayer..

Mat 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Here we know that the cup was not passed, Jesus was praying to the Father if their was any other way to take the sin from the world with out Him going to the cross, let it be done. But we all know that Christ died on the cross. Whenever Jesus prayed he always prayed "not my will but Your will be done" Later we see it was the greatest expression of love ever known to mankind, and through His death many were saved. If your prayer is not being answered for whatever reason, look to Christ and His prayer, yet He remained faithful untill He gave His Spirit up to the Father..

God Bless each of you. Continue in prayer each day, not that your will be done but that His will be done..

I agree with your answer, that sometimes the answer is No, sometimes, Wait, sometimes yes.

Here is more light on prayer:
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
[4] Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
[5] Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
[6] But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
[7] Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[8] Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
[9] Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
[10] Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
[11] Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Sometimes, we want a prayer answered YES, because, deep down inside, we're merely being thoughtless and selfish, thinking only of our own needs or wants, and not of the person we pray for.
We don't submit our selves to God, we don't resist the devil, we don't draw nigh to God, but, we sure do want God to answer our prayer the way WE think it should be answered.
We aren't humble, sometimes, we speak evil of others, and are yet unrepentant.

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Another reason prayers aren't answered. Actually, THREE REASONS.

More reasons prayer is not answered in the way WE want it to be answered:

[15] See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
[16] Rejoice evermore.
[17] Pray without ceasing.
[18] In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
[19] Quench not the Spirit.
[20] Despise not prophesyings.
[21] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
[22] Abstain from all appearance of evil.
[23] And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[24] Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
[25] Brethren, pray for us.
