I would appreciate prayer for a young mother by the name of Kari. She is the wife of a young man who I used to provide day-care for years ago. She has been diabetic since she was a child. When she gave birth, there was a concern that the diabeties might cause problems, but it seemed as though everything was going OK.

Well, they found her having uncontrollable seizures today. She is now in intensive care. Rod, her husband is being flown back from Iraq, where he's been on a tour of duty since last summer.

The baby is now about 1 1/2 years. I'm not sure who is caring for him at this time, but I know that family is en route to be there.

Please keep this young family in your prayers. As far as I have ever been able to tell, Rod isn't a Christian, but I've let him know via cards that we are praying for him and his family while he's facing danger in Iraq, and I know his mom has said how much he has appreciated that folks are praying for him. I have no idea whether or not Kari is a believer, but I'm sure she would appreciate prayer at this time as well.

What a scary thing to have happen!! I'll be praying for Gods' healing for Kari & that all goes well for her and the Dr's get her seizures under control. I'll also pray for her husband, that he has a safe flight home and that God gives the family strength to get through this ordeal.

Just wanted to update that Kari is now stablized. She is still in ICU, but is out of the coma and not having uncontrolled seizures. Rod made it home safely and with her, and his folks are there as well as her folks. The little one has his daddy, and grandma's and grandpa's with him now.

That's wonderful to hear Dora!! Praise God & the Doctors too!! Glad to hear she's doing so much better.

I may not post a reply to all of the prayer requests I see in the prayer forum, but I do pray for those who have posted requests.

God be with this couple and their family in this time of trial. Glad to see things have improved.

God Bless

Kari is not doing so well after all. She is now diagnosed at having only a 50/50 chance of pulling out of this. Please continue to pray.

I pray that God continues to give her renewed strength to come through this ordeal and that her health will be renewed. (She's not having seizures and that is a blessing and she's out of the coma, that a blessing also.) Lets' pray that her health continues to improve from here on out.
