[__ Prayer __] Prayer needed.

Please pray for the mother of a close friend of mine, who is also a friend. She is 52 years old and was given two months to live. She has a very large tumor on her kidney and is scheduled to have surgery in about a week to have it removed. They are giving her about a 5% chance to make it through the surgery because of other problems she has with diabetes and her heart. She was originally scheduled to have surgery tonight but put it off for about a week to hear her grand daughter sing in a school play tonight where I will also be. I'm really concerned about her spiritual state. If you can, pray for her salvation, just to be safe. I plan on spending some time talking with her tonight. Pray for me that I will be given the right words to not only comfort her but also to lead her to salvation, if need be. Pray for her family too. There's a lot going on right now that I can't get into, but this is a really tough time for the whole family. Pray for her health, Lord willing. Her name is Gloria.

Dear Lord please watch over Gloria and guide the hands of the doctors during the operation. Give Dave your child the streagth in whatever he needs to help in this time of trouble, stand by all of the people involved. Wrap your love and peace around this family. Thank you Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Thanks for the prayers everyone. I didn't get the chance to talk to Gloria when I wanted to because her granddaughter was also hospitalized the night she was supposed to sing in the school play.

Gloria had some complications during surgery, but she made it through the operation and is in reasonably good condition and holding. They removed most of one of her kidneys and the surgeon thinks that he got all of the tumor out. We will find out today or tomorrow what stage the cancer was in. They think that they got all, that's what's important. She had a good friend and pastor with her just before, during and after the surgery praying with and for her. All seems to be going well so far and Gloria should be released within a few weeks if she goes without any further complications.
