Have you ever questioned your own sanity when praying?
Don't think it's a bad thing to admit. Real doubt leads to real faith.

I frequently bring myself up short, asking do I believe this?

On examination the answer is yes, I don't always understand it, but if the Bible teaches it I have to believe it.

On the down side, the alternative to believing the Bible is always irrational and unbelievable.
