If anyone wanted to be ready for when Jesus returns, ( no such thing as a rapture, all is done in the blink of an eye, the day of the Lod comes as a thief in the night, not when they have already seen Jesus, that would speaking against faith.
1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Then we already were told in 2 Peter 3, what manner of conversation we should have, in holiness and godliness. Ephesians 5 shows this is us being holy and without blemish, as 2 Peter 3 continued to say the same, we are to be diligent to be found of Him in peace, without spot and blemish, for us to be sanctified wholly ( cleansed of all unrighteousness) for our whole spirit and soul and body, to be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2, tells of obedience, and how we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. God to work in us to do of HIs good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

It is important to be vigilant, as there are many false prophet/teachers here now, but they make their mistake by saying many words, because the scriptures are wiser then they are, such as how we strive according to the good working of God in us, is working mightily, warning every man in all wisdom ( anything else is foolishness of this world) to present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. ( blameless, harmless, in holiness and godliness. Complete in all the will of God.) For the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, to make us perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. )
Hope from Peter for us, for the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after we have suffered a while, makes us perfect, establishes, strengthens, settles us.
