Considering how corrupt our government agencies are, including the CIA, FBI, NSA, Homeland Security, etc... I was thinking, it may be time for us citizens to start our own Security firm. Sure, this may smack of viginalti-ism, but if our government isn't doing the job we actually pay them for, then why not?

We already have this.
They're called militias.
Plus, just for you personally, buy any gun magazine and you'll find a myriad of mercenaries for hire.

I was referring to something a bit more organized. Something that would be part behind the scenes hackers, and part face-to-face militia.

A bunch of people, not to familiarized with sikhs, nor muslims.wanting to protect america from a threat.that's bad

That just means people need to be better informed.

It's more then that.do you have ability to wire tap ,Metadata monitoring, accept financial responsibility for the mistakes?shooting the guy with the suicide vest won't necessarily stop the bomb being triggered.not all attacks will be with guns.

It's a nobel intent, kind of like the superheroes comics are based on. Be good and protect against what's bad. But I think it would be good only on a very small scale. Neighborhood communities looking out for eachother. Anything bigger then that we already have and they have issues staying on the good side sometimes. Police are the good guys that fit the role your speaking about and are in charge of cities. State troopers are for between the gaps of cities and towns, and bigger organizations like the FBI or the CIA are American agencies that go beyond state boundaries. (I don't know many orginizations out of the US that are for our security, or how well they work.)

The worry I have for orginizations larger then neighborhoods helping eachother out is the ability to make things worse because they've become croupt somehow, or when they make a mistake it's big based on the strength and size of the orginization.

It would be nice though to have a kind of grass roots security movement. Not to make people paranoid, but give them a way to help out in a world that is becoming less and less secure. Maybe assist the authorities in areas where their resources are thinned too much, or in areas that don't get much attention because there's bigger issues, or because there's crouption in the system.

I just think when good intent and lack of training/lack of experience meet there's a high risk of something going wrong or being taken advantage of.
