Bible Study Prophecy of Josiah's Birth?

Josiah was apparently prophecied 300 years before he was born in 1 Kings 13. Now the author of 1 & 2 Kings in under speculation, but some believe it was Jeremiah, but that is besides the point. There was most likely one author of the book of Kings. Here's the point, Josiah was prophecied to be born in 1st Kings, then it was recorded that he was born in 2nd Kings. Now since the book of Kings had the same author, couldn't he had just made it look like it was a fulfilled prophecy? Isn't this possible since 1st and 2nd Kings were written so chronologically close? This cannot be a credible prophecy if that is the case. Can you answer/explain?
