100 MB file that can be installed to a USB. Run Puppy from a live CD and free up your disk drive for other things once the system boots up. I don't even HAVE a hard drive in my laptop. I boot with the CD, which I burned from an ISO file, and my save file, currently 768 MBs, is sitting safely on one of my flash drives.
The speed is impressive and puppy comes with tons of programs. Graphics, multimedia, personal, video and audio, plus there are repositories and a community forum for more software and help.
