Purification

humble soul

On Sabbatical from Rome

As long as it doesn't lead to being puritanical.
But I think purification is important. Our mind accumulates so much junk. It's time to press delete.
Reading the Bible helps of course.
As does fasting and prayer .
I think we just need to stop sometimes. Press pause. Look at our life. Look at thoughts. Look at those negative ones. Where are you headed? Are you lost? Are you sure you are on the right course?
What addictions do I have now? Did I just replace those nasty habits with slightly respectable ones? Alcohol to soft drink? Still soft drink is bad for you.
Guess I'm advising meditation. But not the exotic type. Just the undramatic type.
Slow down. There a song lyric goes like this;
"What's it like inside the bubble?
Does your head ever give you trouble?"

I take saunas now and then. Feel beautiful afterwards. Really gets rid of toxins, physical and mental.

I had a very decadent phase in my thirtees. I could physical purify myself. But I needed to spiritually purify myself. I was very much lost. My morals were backsliding. I was rationalising bad behaviour.
I can see it much more clearly now. I am trying to be more moral these days. More transparent. But it's a daily thing. I still make mistakes but hopefully I've improved.

What is wrong with being pure?

Congratulations on being totally pure. Most of us don't get that far.
Sadly, most don't.
But you CAN overcome your lack of faith, as God won't abandon those who seek Him.
BTW, your congratulations should go to Jesus Christ who provided everything we will ever need to forsake sin and start to walk in the Spirit instead of in the flesh.
He conquered sin, while in the same skin and bones we are saddled with.
In Him, we partake of that victory.
