Question about Living by the Book

In an online course I'm taking, this book (author Hendricks) is required reading. I have the second edition but there is now a third edition. Can anyone tell me what the difference is? And if it's important enough for me to get the third edition? I don't think we're required to do any work out of the book, just general reading. For that reason, I suspect the latest version may not be essential.
Thanks for any information.

Wow....30 people have viewed this but not one person has replied! Does this mean no one has read it? Or is it that no one wants to reply?

sometimes the 2nd edition can be updated - there will be a few things added or deleted - or even just reformatted

it's hard to know for sure

the best thing to do is google the title and author with something like this:

what is the difference between the 1st and 2nd edition of hendrick's book XXXXX

or you could go on amazon and read the reviews of the book and see if anyone mentions the different versions

or you can ask you online instructor

probably it won't make much difference - but the online instructor would know best

praying you find the correct info

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll wait to see where our "required" book is actually required..... there may be yet another version by that time!

I remember buying books that were over $50 (used price) and the instructor would use half of one chapter in the book. The rest of the course would be taught from another book.
Of course I only got three dollars because they changed editions...

Yes, I've had the same experience....several times! And textbooks are NOT cheap!

one things many students do is check to see if the book is in the library and then just borrow it
Unfortunately that's not very realistic for most courses as the checkout period isn't long enough. Also, if it's a currently-used textbook, the likelihood of getting it ahead of other students is about zero. I'm speaking from experience at a US university, so it may work differently in other places.
