Bible Study Questions about Prayer

In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
(Matt 6:9)

Can we talk about this part of the Lords Prayer? Just the first sentence. I would like to suggest two principles concerning prayer. First, it is based on relationship. (Our Father ...) Second, is spoken with respect. (Hallowed ...)

Can anyone share other verses in scripture which bring out these two points? I'm doing a study on it see. 'Want to hear what others think.

Deuteronomy 6:5 says:
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

And Jesus says in Mark 12:29-30
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'.

Jesus said that loving our God with every thing that we areis the most important comandment of all. We are supposed to be closest to him above anybody else.

I'll look for more and post something else if i find anything new.

A great topic and hopefully many folks will chime in....especially our Prayer warriors....

I have always found it interesting that prayer was the only thing the disciples
ever asked Jesus to teach them...Of all the scripture we have, they wanted to learn how to pray....
