By the way stove, ginger asked us why we go to our church. You have to turn it in to a debate. Oh well, I welcome the opportunity.

I am asking these questions because it seems that most churchgoers attend church because of pride and vain purposes.

I know you do

I may have some time this afternoon. I would actually enjoy a nice civil debate with you on this if you can refrain from sinking your fangs into me. As such, I will promise to treat you with the respect that I wish to treated with.

Fair?

Sure. I'll pull out the smoothed over set of false teeth.

Now now thess, I only bite when bitten as my past clearly shows on these boards. I do not smother others in false humility and I am not so full of pride that I am ashamed to admit when I am wrong. On the other side, I am simply not afraid to express my feelings with others. Is that ok with you?

But concerning my bite, I am learning what long suffering is all about. Does it anger you that I am able to bridle my tongue?

Perhaps debating you is not the right thing to do... Maybe at another time ehh?

By all means.

Nope.

Suite yourself.

I attend church because I strongly believe it is biblical. Now, when I select a church I look for several things one of which is a Pastor who preaches from the Bible. At this time it is hard for me to put into words what other things I look for but I must at least point out that when I am looking for a church to join I always pray about it. In fact I am still looking for a church in the Wake Forest area, since I moved there to attend Seminary.

It is my goal and pray that God will call me to a church were I can do His will. God has been faithful in leading me to such churches in the past and I do not doubt He will do the same this time.

In the end I go to church to learn about God, form meaningful and lasting relationships with fellow Christians who will encourage me and rebuke me when I need it, gain accountability partners, and finally to be apart of a community I can serve for God’s glory.
