Hey everyone. I've been trying to talk my hubby into getting ready to have a baby. 7 months ago, I threw away my birth control determined to trust in God for His divine timing. Today I had a very faint positive pregnancy test. I'm hoping I'm not just imagining it. I plan on taking another test tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it will show darker so that I can make an appointment with my doctor. Please keep your fingers crossed and send up a quick prayer for me!

Opie need prayer

Opie is my cat. Yeah, praying for a cat may sound trivial but I'd think God is compassionate enough to care whether or not our family pets suffer or live out their lives in some sort of comfort.

Here's what's happening;

He used to eat well. Too well, actually. :D He went from having a good appetite to a poor appetite to not eating at all. I've been feeding him the last couple of days by hand. He's lost a few pounds. He was 16 lbs. and now he's down to 12. :gah Blood work showed no diabetes and no kidney problems, but blood needs to be sent out for further tests to see if there is a liver or gall bladder problem. If there is, he will need an ultrasound to pinpoint the problem and rule out intestinal blockage.

The Vet hopes this is reversible and that he gets his appetite back, so he won't need a stomach tube for feeding. Right now he is taking some antibiotics and a appetite enhancing pill. He's 12 years old and up to now has been a very healthy and happy cat.

May you two become disciplers, bearing Christ daily into the eyes, heart, and mind, of your child. Should this be our Fathers will, for His glorious work in you both; I ask in Jesus name. :amen

Thank you everyone for your prayers.

Actually, what happened was I got 5 faint positives that continued to get more faint. I went for a blood test, and it came back negative. By what I was experiencing I believe that I had a "chemical pregnancy" which is the PC term for an early miscarriage. I'm no doctor, and didn't have an appointment, but I believe that's what happened. I understand now why I didn't carry that child. I'm glad, too, that it wasn't God's perfect timing. We're trying to keep things low-pressure since the timing isn't up to us.

I do still get very sensitive to those close to me who find out that they are expecting. I found out today that my sister-in-law thought she was pregnant again. I see how she raises her first child (my niece, who BTW, is only 6 months old) and I wonder why she'd want another. I know that that's not up to me either, since God has a plan for her life too. But, it's still hard.

I really do appreciate you all very much. I also appreciate your prayers. May the end of this month (or in whenever God so chooses) bring a positive pregnancy test!
