You many want to reseach the National I.D. Act, The National I.D. Card and the new imposted drivers's license for 2010 all of which are scheduled to have the RFID technology right in the cards. Can you imagine having all your data on this card and loosing it? I wonder if an implant might be a better idea.

Those of the futurist view maintain this will be the technology used to control the buying and selling in the modern day by the Antichrist. Those of the preterists view will argue the event already happened in the the first century.

I debated with myself about what forum to post this on - and "End Times / Bible Prophecy" won out, not because I'm a big subscriber to conspiracy theory though. It was mostly because I remember from reading the Revelation of John that there was a direct link between merchants and the Babylon Mystery Religion that can be especially seen during the end times. (Rev 18 and thereabouts). We are to be wise in our understanding, not wise in malice, right? Seems that the enemies of our Lord are somewhat less than harmless. Does this make me one who advocates conspiracy theories? Well, maybe it does. I don't know exactly.

It's never a conspiracy theory if it can be proven to be true.

The rapid use of RFID technology is in place and is used widely today, this can not be disputed. It is in fact undisputed. When the U.S. Social Security Number was first introduced it was actually a health card number. Promises were made that it would only ever be used for health reasons. Now years later your SSN is just as important as your DNA and your fingerprints.

I just took my kids to the waterpark last weekend. I wore a wrist band, this wrist band was used for purchases, the change room lockers, and our hotel room. It was also used to find my kids if I lost them at the park. The wrist band I wore was RFID technology.

Effective June 1st of this year U.S. travelers start using RFID-tagged passports.

What is in dispute is Christians who do not believe in a modern day Antichrist and that this technology will "ultimately" be used to control the buying and selling of the world. There are now a total of three active threads Preterists vs Futurists on the mark of the beast. Same Old Arugments !!

As I said in the PM, I'm more of a privacy advocate than anything else. I really don't like how things can change so easily. Of course it "only makes sense" for corporations to "protect themselves" legally these ways, right? I don't like the uneven scale when they weight their interests above mine.
