John 4
35 Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.
36 Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.
37 For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’
38 I sent you to reap that for which you did not labour. Others have laboured, and you have entered into their labour.”
YOUR LIFE'S WORK
Jesus says in the previous verses, that he is doing the work of the Father; he is completing the work God has given him.
The work he had to do, was a redemptive work, his death and resurrection, set the captives free, give sight to the blind and it set at liberty those who were trapped under sin's penalty.
Here in verses 35-38, is your life's work, Jesus has completed his, and he has fulfilled all that the Father had given him to do.
So what has the Lord given you to do?
These verses give us the answer:
We are to look up - Lift our eyes.
What have you got your eyes on? Is it things in the world?
Before we can see the harvest field, we are to take our eyes off everything and completely focus on that one thing. Jesus was focused on his task, are we?
We are to labour
Harvesting is back breaking work, it is difficult, and it means we sweat and toil. The harvest does not harvest itself, it takes time and resources.
Are we prepared to labour hard for the Lord?
This is your life's work, lift your eyes and see the harvest, the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.
You know People won't come to your church, if you don't invite them, they need to hear the gospel, and you need to tell them.
The harvest is plentiful, are you prepared to lift your eyes from the things of the world and labour for your lord.
That my friend is your life's work
God Bless You

GENESIS 15
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
BELIEVING GODS PROMISES
Of all the people who were promised something by the Lord, Abraham is the most incredible.
After all, in human terms, he was an old man and way past the age of producing a baby with Sarah his wife and still he believed.
God had him look towards heaven asked him to number the stars.. now there are billions of stars and Abraham believed God, indeed he is held up as the great example of faith both in Romans and Hebrews.
Has God promised to do something for you that in human terms seems totally impossible?
Well like Abraham, you need to believe it, because God never ever breaks a promise he makes. Abraham was promised a child and in due time, that child came, it came in God's perfect time.
If we faint not and believe God, like Abraham did, then God will surely bring it to pass.. amen
God bless you
