Reached 100 push-ups

A few months ago I was getting quite chubby and lost a lot of my confidence. I got back into fitness and over the last week I've been able to reach 100 push-ups every day. Next target 200 a day. When I started I couldn't even manage 2 ?

Proper form over quantity. I say that as a veteran who had to do them for a pt test .we had 2 minutes to make the standard .

Most I did in two was 65 irc
 
Hands pointing in not too far apart and always on tips of your toes. It takes me about 5 minutes I think to do 100.

I mean the feet shoulder width apart. Break the plane ,body in a general straight line . I have to beat my chest to do that .

Wow, keep up the good work.
Isn't it surprising how goals can be attainable if we put our minds to it ?

I was doing push-ups, 5 mornings a week for years, (with other exercises too), and the second day after finally reaching 80 push-ups, arthritis hit me in the fingers and wrists.
I haven't done a single push-up since. ?️‍♂️
I lost a ton of muscle from my arms. :shrug
 
Hopeful 2 Br4nd0n Thank you both. I did post photos of my push ups in action but they got removed because they showed too much skin for the forums standards. Sorry forum about that. Happy to post on Teleguard though if you're on there.

I agree with the forum about too much skin.
Christian women are given lots of guidance on how to dress modestly.
By your avatar photo, it seems you may be unaware of them.
1 Tim 2:9 is one..."In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;"

BTW...I did my 80 push-ups at 69 years of age.
 
I'm nearing sixty and am working my way from being bed-ridden for three years with a damaged lower back to as fit a condition as I can be in. I used to be a "gym-rat," but those days are permanently over. Instead, I just do some door-gym stuff, and push-ups, squats, etc.

Just a bit ago, I finally broke 100 pushups. I do them all in four sets in ten minutes. I'm working to get down to just one set. But I have pushup handles that allow me to dip my chest below the level of my hands as I do the pushup. I also elevate my feet so that my mid and upper chest get a good workout. And, of course, I fully extend on the press up. For a guy my age, I can tell you that these all make a big difference in reaching the 100 mark. Whew!

I have, then, a lot of respect for anyone who can do 100 pushups in five minutes! Well done!

Thank you at Tenchi and respect to you for fighting back fit and achieving what you have. I know 19 year olds that can't even do 10 push ups lol
