For five years I taught Arab students in the Middle East. It was a tough job at times, but it was well worth the effort in a country where churches are illegal and I had to worship underground if I could even find a Christian church. For the most part, my students were friendly and hospitable and not tied to radical Islam. Sadly, I worked alongside fellow teachers from the West who had succumbed to Islam. Unless more Christians get a vision to reach the Islamic world with the Gospel, this will continue to occur as it is right now in numerous prisons in the U.S. If you are a teacher and would like to go overseas and even get paid to reach others cross-culturally, go to the Dave's ESL Café website for numerous job opportunities.
Below you will see the only Christmas card I received from an Arab while I was teaching in the Middle East. The student was a policeman.
