At church this morning there was a seminarian student speaking, and he presented some interesting information on the muslim victims of the tsunami.
His professors at seminary were receiving emails from missionaries who are busy working in areas that were hit hard by the disaster. Two of these areas are completely muslim and no Christians have been allowed into the area at all. To be a Christian in these areas would mean certain death.
But the reports are that in these areas, the muslims are asking, "why do we only see infidels helping us?" And the question has been answered by their muslim counterparts to the north... that God must have sent this disaster to these muslims because of their own sins so the muslims won't help them in this time of disaster.
The other question that is being asked in the completely muslim areas is why isn't there more financial aid coming from the oil-rich muslim countries to help their brothers?
What the muslims who have hated and despised Christians are seeing is that it is the Christians who are coming to their aid, who are providing medical care and food, and it is opening the door for Christians to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a place where they have never had the opportunity to go before.
The field is white with harvest and the workers are few.
