The old earth creationist ministry of "Reasons to Believe" does not condone Expelled:

In Reasons To Believe's interaction with professional scientists, scientific institutions, universities, and publishers of scientific journals we have encountered no significant evidence of censorship, blackballing, or disrespect. As we have persisted in publicly presenting our testable creation model in the context of the scientific method, we have witnessed an increasing openness on the part of unbelieving scientists to offer their honest and respectful critique.

Our main concern about EXPELLED is that it paints a distorted picture. It certainly doesn't match our experience. Sadly, it may do more to alienate than to engage the scientific community, and that can only harm our mission.

Regardless of whether you like them or not, how does their experience fit to the message of Expelled?

Bleh, Old earth creationists disgust me.

What do you mean? 'how dare they take a metaphorical and allegorial view of Genesis so that it better fits in with the synthesized scientific knowledge of mankind'?

No, how dare they go against gods word, claim to be a true bible believing Christian, and accept old earth/evolution

You can't accept anything in the bible for its face value, just like in any other book. Remember, it was young earth noah's flood scientists who went out to uncover evidence for their view in the natural world and in geology and found only evidence that there was no global flood and that the earth was very old.

If YEC geologists and scientists actually felt they had enough evidence contrary to their view to discard their theory in favour of a new one, what makes you think it is supposedly god-given?
