I am a freshman in college right now and am a thrower on the track and field team. I went to a Christian high school and since going to college I have had trouble keeping my faith. For a span of 5 months or so I have been plagued with injuries and hardships in life. I was having a hard time with my motivations and my goals were slowly disappearing. I was expected to do very well on the track team coming into college, and I had not done as well as I would have liked to thus far. I was having trouble caring about the sport and it was weird because before this I was obsessed with it. My motivation to make myself better and better those around me was almost none. I knew there was something wrong and I honestly felt like God wanted to speak with me. I had broken up with my girlfriend a few months before this and this had been hard for me to deal with as well. Seeing her with other guys on facebook and everything hurt and it didn't help anything. So before our last big track meet I knew I needed help and knew that I needed to ask God for it. I had cried in the shower that morning and begged God to give me strength, to give me a sign, and help me believe that I have faith in God and myself. I had to wait a few minutes to get out of the bathroom so my eyes were not so red, and so my roommate in the hotel would not think I was crying. I stepped out of the bathroom like everything was alright, and my roommate was on the phone. I didn't know him very well so it added to the oddity of what happened next. He turned to me while still on the phone and said, "Yo man, my sister said read Mark 9:23". So I thought immediately, wow I think God is answering my prayer. I read the passage and it said "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." This answered my prayer exactly and I knew it was God's doing. Later that day I went into the meet and almost threw a school record in the shot put. It was an amazing day, filled with God. Reading testimonies helps keep my passion for God, and I hope this helped people in my situation.

May God Bless Everyone,
A Believer
