I have posted this only for the purposes of educating people on the RECOMMENDATION 666 document out of the WEU. Javier Solana is due to retired in the fall. I am interested in who will take his seat.

If you believe it or not.. At least educate yourself on the actual position held by this man and the legal authority he acts under. I do not believe the ENP agreement is the peace agreement of the antichrist. But I am keeping an eye on this position out of the EU.

1995 - Ten nation military alliance (Western European Union) (1) formed under the modified Brussels Treaty. This is a distinct organization from the European Union, although the two are very closely connected. This treaty organization to this day still has only 10 member states with full voting rights.

“The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.†Revelation 17:12-13

1998 - Document 666 (2) of the European Union summit creates position of High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy

Number of the beast (666) mentioned in Rev. 13:18 is associated with the appointment of the High Representative position.

1999 - Javier Solana appointed as High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) for the EU and becomes Secretary General of the 10-nation WEU. (3) Solana does not represent any of the states in this 10-nation alliance, though he’s from Spain, which is a participant nation.

2000 - Recommendation 666 (4) gives the High Representative and Secretary General of the WEU (Javier Solana) the authority to preside over the EU’s Political and Security Council in an emergency. According to author Herbert L. Peters 5, this means the High Representative has “the authority to step in and take control of the EU’s new military machinery†in an emergency.

Daniel 11: 36-45 describes conquests of antichrist, implying his very powerful military influence. Number of the beast (666) mentioned in Rev. 13:18 is associated with military power of High Representative position.

2007 - The European Neighborhood Policy forms a partnership between the EU and many Mediterranean countries, including Israel. (6) The ENP has had former funding instruments all of which are replaced by the ENPI. As of January 1, 2007, the ENPI is the source of funding for a seven-year period. (7) In addition to this, strategy papers where created for each member country, including Israel, for the next seven years. (8)

“He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.†Daniel 9:27

2010 - European Union is implementing an Action Plan promoting the welfare of animals for the period of 2006-2010. The EU would also like to enhance international standards of animal welfare (9). Proper treatment of animals during slaughter is an area of interest for the EU. This may be the antichrist’s way to stop “sacrifice and offering†in the middle of the 70th week.

Thank for posting the link to this book. I think the information contained within is often overlooked by those claiming to watch for signs of prophecy. I closely followed the musings of its author Herb Peters right up to the time of his death. He had a way of getting you excited about being a "watcher" of end times events. He is surely missed.

How do you feel about Solana's involvment in the peace contract process? I found three news articles on him this morning all about him brokering peace agreements?

He seems to be wearing his ugly head again.. I thought he was supposed to be retiring ???

While I may not be a big fan of this theory.. My eyes are certainly on the EU and his seat if he retires.

I know from following Herb and others like Constance Cumbey that this is not the first time Solana has threatened to retire so he'll be on my radar until the midpoint of the ENPI sometime next year. But I don't get dogmatic about Solana being the One because scriptures seem to indicate that we would know who this person is by his actions more than anything else. Christ could have easily told us in Matthew 24 to flee when we see the agreemet confirmed as spoken of by Daniel....but He doesn't. Instead Christ tells us that when we see sacrifices stopped and the abomination occur (as told by Daniel) to use that as our clue to flee. I've often wondered why not give us a heads up and tell us to flee at the confirmation when it dawned on my that the confirmation would not be as obvious as our christian movies portray. Christ must have know many would not recognize this sign...why else would any sane person wait until the AOD to flee if we could get a 3.5 year head start?

Anyway its not over until the fat lady sings and I haven't heard any singing yet. Too much is happening right now and religious Jews are pressing more and more to do a public passover sacrifice on the Temple Mount. Now the Israeli supreme court, which has traditionally ruled on the side of muslims, stated that discrimination must stop and that religious Jews be given free access to the Temple Mount...this is huge! If Jews make it up to that mount and start sacrficing somone is going to tell them to stop...and when they do, I'm taking my Lord's advice to flee.
