It is fairly "mellow" on the rock scale ... Red is normally quite "hard" on the rock scale.

Yes, you're right.

I like Disciple's combination of hard rock and clear Christian lyrics. (Sometimes Red's lyrics are a bit vague.)

Blessings.

I got to hear it live. :)

Lucky you! We saw them live this summer at Dirtfest, it was awesome!

I just bought their latest cd. My son and I had to go to town last night and it was cranked all the way into town and back lol!

Yeah.... they're generally pretty hard core!

Yes, Release the Panic, is kind of rather hard rock. I can listen to it and enjoy it but I do need to be in the mood, so to speak.

The only album of their's I don't own (yet) is the first one, End of Silence.

Is End of Silence, what you've heard of it, into really hard rock style, too?

Blessings.

Yeah. Pretty much what you'd expect to hear from them.
I think one of the songs from the album was "Breathe into Me". They played a couple of other songs from it at the concert, too.

You've really gotten into Christian hard rock, haven't you? (I suppose it kind of now defines the sort of Christian woman that you've become, in a manner of speaking.)

So how did the concert go? you guys must have done the trip there and back by now.

Were there good, clear Christian lyrics as well as good hard rock?

Blessings.

Went well. Since the concert was at a theme park, my group was sometimes more interested in going on rides than listening to music. But we all agreed to see Red together.

I'm somewhere in the crowd. If you can find the hand that has "Red" written across the palm in pen ink, that's me. But it's probably not going to show up at that distance. :)

Also got to see Family Force 5, Tenth Avenue North (I've seen them before), Crowder, Switchfoot, and part of Relient K. All Christian bands. Wanted to see Casting Crowns, but I wasn't allowed to leave the group by myself.
Red was the only group I stood right in front of the stage for. Not something I'd do too often...my feet were already killing me before I stood there for the entire concert. lol It was an experience, anyway.

No, your hand is too small to see in the photo (but I understand you've gotten into doing temporary tattoos again!)

Casting Crowns tend to be a bit more tuneful than Red, and their lyrics also seem to be more focused on the Christian message.

Sounds like you guys had a great concert, or at least you yourself did, seeing as the other guys kept wandering off...

Blessings.

questdriven,

Tell me you don't moshpit lol! When my son and I went to dirtfest, he was in the moshpit. that's just crazy. Another time they picked him up and surfed him all the way to the stage. He was escorted by security and didn't understand why they were so brutal with him lol!

I'd love to see Red in concert again!

No, I just stand there and try to draw as little attention to myself as possible. xD I heard some people talking about moshpitting, though.

Well, your experiences and accounts certainly do show you're really into hard rock big time.

For myself, whatever the style, I do think clear, Christian lyrics are very important.

Blessings.

@questdriven :

Yes, I reckon that at a concert it's best just to be there quietly and enjoy the music. One has to be careful with headbanging, moshpitting, etc. (Did you know the line of clothing called moshpitclothing dot com ?)

Blessings.
