It needs to go back to Jesus and His commands. We don't need new ones about evolution/creationism/tithing/government establishment/racism/big bang/vaccinations etc. All those things were brought into religion by men who tried to graft them onto religion to suit themselves.
Some of them may be good and true, like vaccination, evolution, and tithing, but they are not God's commandments.
Others, like racism and government establishment, are evil and should not be tolerated in our faith.
Jesus make it clear in Matthew 25, how He would judge who goes with Him and who goes with Satan. And he makes it even clearer here:
Matthew 22:36-40 Master, which is the great Commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. 40 On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets.
Do this, and you cannot go wrong.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
