da Davidson admits that she is a little overweight. On the second visit to her primary care doctor in Massachusetts, she was told that they didn’t want her as a patient because of her weight..
“She was telling me that she couldn’t care for me because I was over 200 pounds,†Davidson said. “I mean, I’ve never heard anything like that, I thought doctors were there to help you.â€
It doesn’t happen that often, but it’s not illegal. In fact the country’s major physician group says it’s also ethical.
The AMA says patients and doctors can “exercise freedom in choosing with whom to enter into a patient physician relationship.â€

Dr. Carter says she began screening out the overweight patients in the spring after several of her staff were injured.
“There are alternatives there’s an obesity center at UMASS better staffed and has more resources than I do,†Dr. Helen Carter said.
Davidson said the doctor’s office didn’t care about her health that day. She feels they just cared that she was a liability and maybe too much work.

Well, Lewis, I know this forum does not like conspiracy theories, and I am a conspiracy theorist at heart but I try to be somewhat nice about it. In this case, I can reiterate the other nutritional points ad nauseum about how what they put into our foods and again, what they are telling us to eat are making us all fat!

And I'll bet the horses and ranch that this same self-righteous doctor is probably one of the biggest purveyors of that nutritional philosophy. So, what did I say before??? Remember? People HAVE BEEN obeying what they are told, and know no better, and yet they get fat. Then whose fault is it? The people's of course! Of course!

Now I know there are some who deliberately abuse their eating and are really, really fat. But, I have this gut feeling that if I sat down with this woman, that she'd be one of those who would say, "I tried everything and I still can't lose the weight." Yes, I believe her. Her only guilt is listening to these so-called experts.

We can determine if there is a deeper conspiracy some other time, for another thread or forum, as I believe there is, but on the surface, I believe this is what's happening to that woman. I would tell her not to even go to any doctor. She's not missing anything with them being on their academic high-horse. She'll do better treating herself and would probably live longer anyway.
