What a guy this man was. One of the best defensive linemen to ever play the game, but beyond that and more importantly, he was a strong Christian role model for many of us to look up to.

I was shocked to hear the news when I had heard the news he had passed away. That was a week ago. Only 43 years old, but God did so much with this man in only 43 years. Not only was he a fierce competitor on the field, he was a man who cared about his peers after the game was over. All the things I've heard over the last week from fellow players have made me admire and respect the man all the more. He was one of the players who stood up when the NFL frowned upon the on-field post-game prayer circles formed. Something we can still see today.

I admired him for his desire and dedication to be the best he could be. But he recognized football as nothing in the grand scheme of things. He truly cared about the souls of those around him.

Definitely. He was an amazing person full of faith on and off the field, and wasn't afraid to show it. He impacted so many people's lives for God, it's amazing. He was a wonderful person who was never afraid to stand up for what he believed in.
