Remember ?

My first car. Well it wasn't mine, it was my dads, he taught me how to drive it. I was 8. I could barely see over the steering wheel. By age nine I was my parents Designated Driver. Good times.

When I was 13 I was having a couple of friends spend the night. After midnight I decided to take out my dad's car.It was a huge Cadillac.I opened the garage door by hand and pushed the car out of the garage so I would not wake up my parents. My three girlfriends and myself got in the car with me at the drivers seat and I drive across town.I even stopped to get gas. :biggrin2

sheesh it was cool photos of old cars :sad i hate windows 8

I think on the news it was reported that china has forbidden windows 8 because of security flaws etc .

It has , though, over half a million lines of code or programs, +/- 0.000 483 292 quintillion bits

to copy Apple computers . That's one very good reason Macs are so much more stable and resistant to virzooses than mcrosft products.

I did not off with a Mac.People have told me if you are not familiar with them and did start out with them then you would not be happy.

I did not (start) off with a Mac.People have told me if you are not familiar with them and did start out with them then you would not be happy.

an editor bought one for her grade schooler to do homework with. 3rd or 6th grade.

when it arrived, she just put it in the middle of the room to see what her son could do with it.

in about 30 minutes or an hour, he had it already out of the box, plugged in to power and internet, and had his homework finished.

it is usually that easy. "plug and play". no instructions and no technician or such needed.

everyone I know from kids to big business that got one or already has one is very happy with it --- the ease of use, and the freedom from viruses and crashes.

after 2 years on 'windows' , doing anti-virus anti-crash regular protocols every week (well over 100 hours each year, either automatically or manuallly) ,
I got an emac that was over 5 years old,
and hooked it up
and it is still hooked up 3 or 4 years later now, and no viruses, no anti-viruses, no crashes, no problems with it, no time spent on all that, no money spent on all that, no worries opening email from unknown senders(use a little wisdom here as you learn--- DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING UNFAMILIAR)(usually results in a lot of spam windows and emails).

i.e. a lot more freedom of thought and peace of mind using a mac, and able to do everything easier, with very few exceptions.

another (bad) example. I was given a windows 7 laptop. had to pay for anti-virus etc for it, and it spends perhaps an hour every day doing updates and checks and anti-virus / removal/ cookies/ garbage. :( ..... .... I don't have to spend much if any time extra since it is 'automatic' , but it is still obviously with built in dangers and flaws and 'loopholes' the bad guys can use to hack in.

Sounds good.I would have to pray around with it to see if I liked it.I know that Windows can be a pain and alot of people don't like it but that is what I am used to.I am a major novice when it comes to computers.

on your windows, do you move the cursor over the icon or link you want and click on that ?

same with macs. almost the same 'look' , almost the same (user) prompts or dropdown menus or icons - just easier.

yes,
like anything, even vw bugs, erors can ocur. so find someone sometime somewhere who can answer questions if anything happens.

It would be fun to play around with a Mac that someone had to just get the feel of it.I am sure there are cons to Mac's as well just as there are cons to Windows.

the main thing , which is almost a 'non' thing, that a business might ezperience is a lack of mac technicians within the local area to help with something if anything does go wrong.
for some businesses this is the only reason they don't have macs.

but for schools and publishers and students, macs were so totally popular that to get the market mcrsoft had to GIVE a hundred thousand give or take computers to the schools and publishers to get them to switch over.
most of the ones who got mcrsoft machines haven't been very happy with them if they ever had a mac before,
but now-a-days kids in kindergarten are getting tabletrs with no keyboard - learning computing without knowing the alphabet !!!!

and so on.

in a year or more, no Christian will be allowed access to much of the internet / sites. (please notice the "/ or more" ) ...... when the "mark" of the beast is finally in place, it will be even more of a daily struggle to survive than it ever has been,

and people dependent on any form of aid at all will face the most difficult choice of their life, for here and for eternity.( topic for a sequel to this thread, if there are any Bereans interested)

My daughter has been working with computers since she was in kindergarten. She has been exposed to both Windows and Mac.Many kids are exposed to computer very early. My daughter knows computers very, very well and has even worked with them as a past job she has had but she still prefers Windows.
