I am requesting prayer concerning the attempts by liberals to repeal North Carolina's House Bill 2. House Bill 2, signed into law in March, bans people from using public bathrooms that don't correspond to their biological sex as listed on their birth certificates. This was the state law that gained national attention because it prevented those individuals referred to as “transgenders” from using the bathrooms that accommodate their imaginary sexual identification.
North Carolina’s state legislatures were supposed to meet Tuesday or Wednesday, I believe, to make a decision concerning repealing HB2. Fortunately, that state’s republican legislatures have taken action that has apparently resulted in a six-month moratorium on such a decision. HB 2 also contains provisions concerning the minimum wage in that state, of which I have little knowledge. I only know at this point that I do not want to see HB 2 repealed. Perhaps HB 2 requires revision related to that portion of the bill relating to the state’s minimum wage; I don't know. However, if such is the case, then that portion of the bill relating to prohibiting accommodation of transgenderism must and should remain intact.
I am requesting prayer that HB 2 not be repealed or, at a minimum, not loose its
anti-transgenderism provisions.
I am also requesting that others pray that the Employment Non-Discrimination Act never be passed as it accommodates the desires of America’s “queer” community. Repeated attempts have been made to get this Act passed, but these attempts have repeatedly failed.
