[__ Prayer __] Requesting Prayer--Stop The Repeal Of HB2 (North Carolina)

I am requesting prayer concerning the attempts by liberals to repeal North Carolina's House Bill 2. House Bill 2, signed into law in March, bans people from using public bathrooms that don't correspond to their biological sex as listed on their birth certificates. This was the state law that gained national attention because it prevented those individuals referred to as “transgenders” from using the bathrooms that accommodate their imaginary sexual identification.

North Carolina’s state legislatures were supposed to meet Tuesday or Wednesday, I believe, to make a decision concerning repealing HB2. Fortunately, that state’s republican legislatures have taken action that has apparently resulted in a six-month moratorium on such a decision. HB 2 also contains provisions concerning the minimum wage in that state, of which I have little knowledge. I only know at this point that I do not want to see HB 2 repealed. Perhaps HB 2 requires revision related to that portion of the bill relating to the state’s minimum wage; I don't know. However, if such is the case, then that portion of the bill relating to prohibiting accommodation of transgenderism must and should remain intact.

I am requesting prayer that HB 2 not be repealed or, at a minimum, not loose its
anti-transgenderism provisions.

I am also requesting that others pray that the Employment Non-Discrimination Act never be passed as it accommodates the desires of America’s “queer” community. Repeated attempts have been made to get this Act passed, but these attempts have repeatedly failed.

Dear Brother Politico, I'm certainly be in prayer with you with the proviso that God's will be done in Jesus' name. I was just watching Fox News having a report on this issue saying there is much politics involved at this point in those seeking to repeal the bill. Those previously voting for the bill now changing their alliance, and of course that for future votes.

I don't always understand God's meaning in many things, but I do believe He is in charge of those things involving our good, and just as He put Pharaoh over Egypt to move Israel, or paying taxes to a nation completely antichrist, there is an agenda to His actions.
Blessings in Christ Jesus. :wave2

Update, 12-23-16: North Carolina's legislatures met in a special session Wednesday to consider repealing HB2. In this session, liberal legislatures failed to repeal HB2! Praise God!

Thanks for your reply and prayers.

If transgenderism is allowed to take root, politically and socially, then it will lead to allowing biological males using the girl's locker rooms in schools. If that occurs, then the logical progression indicates it will be extended to showers, in schools and elsewhere, such as shower rooms in privately-owned gyms. I heard on the news a while back that a certain school in California has sanctioned transgenders using the locker room of their choice.

The Obama administration has issued a directive to schools requiring an allowance of transgenders to use not only bathroom facilities, but also locker room facilities of their choice. Of course this means allowing biological, naked males sharing the girl's locker rooms with people's daughters and vice versa. Can we say that only a fool could sanction such a thing? I think so.

A multiple-State lawsuit, headed by the state of Texas, has challenged Obama's directive. I am not sure how that has gone so far.

Transgenderim is a part of an overall delusional worldview that not only disregards a person's DNA but also prefers the preferences of transgenders over those of non-trannys. Transgenders compose only a small, small fraction of the population of America. So why are they given preference over non-transgenders? Why is their comfort level given preference by the Obama administration and so many other liberals?

Do I not have the right to use the men's restroom without a woman-pretending-to-be-a man standing right next to me? What about a woman needing to change her clothes when she notices a man-pretending-to-be-a-woman standing next to her?

There are so many terrible ramifications in condoning transgenderism. It leads to such confusion and contradiction.

For example, in a scenario where there are only so many lifeboats on a sinking ship for the women and children (the men staying behind), if there is a man pretending to be a woman on this ship that's going down, is he to be treated like the women and allowed on the lifeboats along with other women? What if there is only enough room on the last lifeboat for one more woman, yet there remains on the ship one biological woman and one man pretending to be a woman? Who gets the seat? If it is given to the transgender, and this transgender later switches back to preferring his biological gender, then will anyone be upset that a man was given the last seat and a real woman was forced to go down with the ship? This is just one of many thought exercises that demonstrate the contradictory and abominable ramifications of legitimizing transgenderism.

Transgenderism must be fought at every level.

Hi politico
I agree with you about fighting the good fight.
We waited to long to fight abortion and SSM.
The best time to start is Now.

Whatever God gave you when you were born, that's what you are.
Simple.

This is an important thread - hope everyone reads it.

Wondering

Thank you for your post. Yes, I agree: "The best time to start is now."

Thank God for America's retired seniors who, presumably, have more time to spend fighting for the Christian worldview:)
